(a) When you register for our Broadband services (as more detailed in
the terms and conditions and referred to in this policy as the “Services”)
we need to know your name, postal address, e-mail address and telephone
number. We also need to know your direct debit details.
(b) We gather this information and may disclose it to other companies
within our group of companies (the “Scottish and Southern Energy
Group”) only for the following purposes; to allow us to process
your registration, check whether the Services are available to your address,
process any orders you may make and collect money from you for the Services
provided. The relevant information is then used by us, our agents and
sub-contractors to provide you with the Services and to communicate with
you on any matter relating to the conduct and/or provision of the Services
in general.
(c) We may also use aggregate information and statistics for the purposes
of monitoring website usage in order to help us develop the website and
the Services and may provide such aggregate information to third parties.
These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify
